BSA (Birmingham Small Arms Company Limited) was a purveyor of a wide variety of products ranging from bicycle to Turkish infantry rifles. At one point the largest supplier of Motorcycles in the world, BSA owned renowned brands like Triumph, Sunbeam, and Daimler. The company peaked during the post-war years but the 1950's weren't as kind to the sales of bicycles and the BSA cycles division was sold to Raleigh in 1957 (which at the time was still independent but later became Raleigh-TI (Tube Investments) and with numerous other brands under their marquee (including: Phillips, Rudge Whitworth, Hercules, Armstrong, Sun and Norman Cycles)) the BSA cycles brand slowly faded from it's former glory.
This bike appears to be all original. The bike is in good overall condition and is free of corrosion, bends and cracks. The black paint still has a good luster to it with only some small marks and scratches here and there. Unfortunately the Wrights saddle is starting to deteriorate from age and probably shouldn't be ridden.
This bike has been fully tuned by a shop mechanic with many years of experience. The bike is then given a thorough 83 point inspection by the owner of our shop. Finally the owner rides the bicycle checking steering, braking and shifting. After you receive this bicycle minimal adjustments and assembly will be needed to be ready to ride.
This bicycle is being sold as is, please see photographs for details.
