You are purchasing a vintage used Schwinn Suburban made in Chicago, IL, May of 1970. A smooth-riding 5-speed steel city cruiser, this bike is perfect for spinning around town. This model came in a classic Campus Green color with white trim, and it included a springy black vinyl seat with silver studs along the edge for comfort and style. Schwinn put Weinmann brake levers and calipers on this model. It also came with front and rear fenders and a step through frame for ultimate riding ease.
The Campus Green paint job looks nice though there are chips. The Schwinn lettering on the down tube is in good shape. The Schwinn Puff tires are cracking and should be replaced before regular riding. There is rust on all parts of this bike, and it will take some steel wool to get it looking shiny again. The pedals are usable but not ideal. The crank set is in good condition, and the fork is relatively unblemished. Aside from the rusted studs, the saddle looks nice and doesn't have the usual tears on a bike of this age. All parts are original. This bike is in working order and has been professionally tuned by one of our shop mechanics. Please see photographs for details.
Grab a fantastic piece of Schwinn history with this classic women's Suburban cruiser.
