You are buying a 1983 (1 year prior to the Olypmics in LA) Murray Baja 9000 mountain bike. This lugged steel MTB was made in Tennesse. This amazing early mountain bike has an amazing parts collection. ACS hubs, gold ano Ukai rims, mafac brakes... very nice period pieces. The long and low geometry of this bike makes it very stable and comfortable to ride. Murray even trademarked the name and logo "Baja 9000".
Paint is mostly there, white with metal flake. In some spots, the paint is starting to stain, but overall its fairly nice.
The ACS parts - levers, brakes (with Mafac), pedals, hubs - really make this an impressive vintage piece.
This bicycle, although its in good shape, still will need a full tune-up to be completely rideable. The bike will not need parts, but just some labor. The tires also are on their last few miles as they are drying out and will need to be replaced soon.
