Details
This is a vintage 28" motorbike style bicycle. This bike is missing the headbadge. The head badge holes are vertical and spaced about 72mm (2 7/8") apart.
The bike was manufactured sometime in the late 1920's to early 1930's.
Color: multiple colors, but the original colors were red main frame with blue details (spears). White pinstriping. Lots of patina. The red was painted under the blue, which makes getting the blue to stand out a little tough. Don't expect it to be perfect under all the extra paint.
New Departure Model C coaster brake hub. Hub is loose, not sure how much of it works as we can't ride the bike, but it looks rough.
The seat is in rough shape, with the leather on the nose ripped off and multiple rips. Seems original.
Stepped fenders, in rough condition with multiple rips, bends, and colors. The rear fender has what's left of a light with no cover. The fenders are original, and match the blue and red paint of the frame - blue center with red along the sides (under multiple other colors).
Wooden rims are metal clad but painted red. Decent shape for the rims, but with a few dents/dings. Not straight.
Handlebar originally had a brace built in, but only the holes are left. The bar was painted black (rough paint now) with no chrome. The stem has a bit of chrome left.
Cranks are painted black also, but there seems to be some shiny stuff under the black...
The trusses are rusted, but looks like they were chromed at one time.
** The bike has 2 dents in the frame - one on the drive side of the top tube, and the other on the driveside seatstay. Not sure if this moved off the trueness of the frame.
Measurements:
Seat Tube (center to top) - 19"
Top Tube (center to center) - 22.5"
