This is a vintage 1941 Schwinn Superior Sports Tourist mens model in the enameled black color. This all original bicycle is directly from the Schwinn Museum in Chicago. The only thing missing is the back half of the rear fender.
All chrome (except the handlebar) is in good shape but needs some shining/cleaning. No rust on the frame or fork. The decals are nice, but the Schwinn on the downtube is half faded away, and the seattube decal is starting to fade out. Most of the dual pinstripes are fading out also (orange and green). AS headbadge is in excellent shape.
This bike has been tuned up mechanically and is good to go. Might need a bit more tuning as we did the original tune about 25 years ago.
