You could be the proud owner of what appears to be a vintage Bottecchia road bicycle. Likely built in Italy in the early '70's this bike features a Simplex drivetrain and classic Italian styling and solid lugged steel construction. Although this does bear most of the a appropriate markings of a lower end Bottecchia it does appear to have been re-painted. Perfect for the steel loving rider, this bicycle is looking for a new home and it could be yours.

BIKE CONDITION

This bike is in good overall condition and is free of bends, cracks and corrosion. The re-painted red paint still has a good luster to it but was not done very professionally and thus shows runs and so forth. Unfortunately the lower headset cup was not removed before painting and is painted over. Aside from the paint the bike appears to be original aside from the newer Panaracer tires and possibly the saddle.

This bicycle appears to be ridable, but we would recommend a tune up or safety check by a qualified mechanic before riding.
