Details
You could be the proud owner of this vintage Sekine Medialle bicycle. Second from the top of the line at the time was the Sekine “Medialle” SHT. These are very nice bicycles, sporting full chromoly moly frames, complete with Shimano forged and machined front and rear dropouts. The rear drops included axle position adjusting screws. Fork tips as well as chain and seat stays were chromed and, as was the case with all Sekines, the overall finish of the paint was excellent. The lug work was the fanciest offered on any of Sekine’s bicycles, even those to come a few years later. Shimano 600 derailleurs and controls handled the shifting chores and did so remarkably well. These bikes shift like a charm. SR Royal cotterless cranks, fitted with alloy rings, made up part of the power transmission system. All in all, the SHT was, and still is, a very nice bicycle to observe, as well as ride. This Medaille is looking for a new home and it could be yours.
BIKE CONDITION
this bike appears to be original with the exceptions of the new handlebar tape and Cane Creek brake hoods. The bike is in overall good condition with some normal wear and scratches for a bike of this age. Both wheels are mostly true and the older tires hold air. The green paint still shines nicely although the down tube decals are faded and seat tube sticker is scratched up. The frame is free of major bends and cracks.
This bike has not been tuned by one of our shops mechanics. While it appears to currently be rideable we suggest some very minor tuning to get it running like new.
This bike is being sold as is, please see photographs for details.
