Details
You are buying a vintage used Schwinn Suburban made in Chicago, IL, May of 1971. This bicycle is a 5-speed steel lightweight in Schwinn's classic Sierra Brown. This Suburban is equipped with Weinmann brake levers and calipers as well as a Schwinn Approved (Huret) component group. Ease of shifting is achieved via a conveniently located stem mount shifter. This bicycle also comes equipped with a comfortable vinyl springer saddle and matching pin-striped fenders. The Sierra Brown paint job looks nice but there are chips. The Schwinn lettering on the down tube and seat tube has been scuffed off. The tires have been replaced with brand new Kenda 27 x 1 1/4" gum wall tires. There is a little rust where the paint has been scratched but this bike is very clean. The crank set is in good condition and the fork is relatively unblemished. Aside from minor rusting on the studs, the saddle looks nice and doesn't have the usual tears on a bike of this age. All parts are original except for the tires. This bicycle has not been gone over by one of our mechanics so it may require some minor mechanical tweaking.
