You are purchasing a vintage 1980 Schwinn Varsity bicycle, made during July of that year.  

A perfect ride around campus, across the city or on a country road, this bike was designed to include features usually found on more expensive bikes.  
It includes 10 speeds controlled by Twin Stik gear levers mounted at the headset, as well as a sporty black vinyl saddle and suicide brake levers for comfort.  An Electro-forged frame and Schwinn Puff gumwall tires add to the smooth and easy riding of this dependable bike.

This one is in the original Sky Blue color, which has suffered some abrasion especially where the lettering is concerned - the Varsity name on the down tube is completely obscured.  The components are in good shape, though there is some rust on the wheels at the spokes.  The brake cable hoses are cracked.  The handlebars are covered in blue jelly grips (probably original) that have torn.  The seat has a small tear and needs to be cleaned.  Might need a change in tires (which are currently cracked) and a tightening of the brakes, but this bike is just about ready to ride.  The original oversized rectangular reflectors are in great condition.
