You are buying a 1987 Columbia 9.5 freestyle bicycle, a complete survivor from the zenith of freestyle popularity. 1987 was the year of freestyle riding, the peak of its popularity and the year when companies exploded production of freestyle bikes. This bike has all original parts and paint. It comes with a stock rotor and Potts modification. There is a set of fork-threaded front pegs, and threads available for a second set of pegs higher up on the fork, as well as a set of rear frame standers. Columbia welded on a nice long frame platform for this model, plus a solid handlebar platform. This bike also features a sturdy 6-bolt stem. Handlebar grips are modeled after the popular ODI Mushroom model, and the brake levers are Dia Compe MX3 copies. Let's not forget the awesome paint job - dark blue with rainbow script. The Columbia 9.5 is a representative from the heyday of freestyle, and this one is all original. A great collector's item, and a great find for anyone who remembers that time fondly.
This bike is in working condition, but it could use a tune-up. The grips are dirty. The paint is scratched on the fork, frame, and handlebar. The wheels are scraped from grinding along walls, and the pedals have clearly seen some grinding. The tires are essentially bald and should be replaced before serious use. Moving parts aside from the wheels are in good condition.
