This is a vintage 1990's Softride Powercurve beam suspension bike.  This bike has one of the most comfortable suspensions available.  The seat is suspended on a carbon fiber beam that acts as a shock absorber.  Not affected by pedaling, friction, braking.  Amazing comfort that works all the time. 

All the softride beams were built in the US while the frames were outsourced overseas. 

This frame is aluminum with a carbon fiber beam and a steel fork.  The bike is set up for comfort, with larger volume street tires, a comfy saddle and an upright seating position due to the adjustable stem and multfuction riser bar.  The bar end also help for comfort.  But the biggest part of the comfort of this bike is the Softride beam.
