This is a vintage used 1989 Klein Performance Elite road/touring bicycle. This bicycle was part originally part of a his and hers special order frame set build.  Both bikes were built in an identical fashion and almost all of the Shimano components date of manufacture match.  The condition of this frame is near immaculate and is without any major scratches or dents.  The Sovereign Blue metallic paint job still retains a deep lustre and depth.  The decals are cracking in areas and do show signs of the passing years but add nicely to the patina.  All the components were custom ordered and have been extremely well maintained by our shop over the years (complete specifications can be seen below).  This bike was hand built in Chehalis Washington USA and feature Klein's signature smooth wields and aggressive geometry.  From Kleins literature "The Performance Elite is a beautiful road machine.  Take it racing or high-speed touring.  Frameset includes front and rear dropout eyelets, rear rack mounts, color-matched fork and pump, and additional detailing."  This model was only available in the Sovereign Blue paint job.  Beyond regular maintenance this bike has also been professionally tuned by one of our shops mechanics prior to sale and once re-assembled after shipping will be ready to ride.  Please see photographs for details.
