The 2015 Giant Fastroad SLR will never be mistaken for a “Mary Poppins bike”. It has performance everywhere you look! Commuting, fitness and rides in the country are all part of the Fastroad’s versatile nature. The ALUXX SLR aluminum frame has been shaped and butted to reduce weight while keeping impressive strength. An OverDrive tapered head tube and fork give the Fastroad nimble handling, while the Advanced-grade composite fork reduces weight further. With internal cable routing, the Fastroad SLR keeps a clean look and ensures less maintenance. The D-Fuse Composite seatpost soaks up road vibration as well as jolts from choppy pavement, while the Connect XC alloy handlebar sports bar-ends for more hand positions. Shimano’s 10-speed Tiagra road components found on the Fastroad include the derailleurs and 12-30T cassette, and Shimano RapidFire shifters keep drivetrain operation smooth. An FSA Omega 50/34T compact crankset and Tektro Auriga hydraulic disc brakes add to the component quality on the Fastroad SLR. Giant’s own alloy S-R2 disc-specific wheels are shod with 28mm S-R3 tires for easy acceleration and confident grip.
