The Trek Domane isn’t just a cobblestone-cruising pro machine for ultra-fit racers, it can be perfect for riders looking for their first road bike. The Domane 2.0 has a 200 Series Alpha aluminum frame that has been shaped and butted to produce a light yet strong backbone for long climbs and easy acceleration. The Domane’s IsoZone decoupler articulates the top of the seat tube from the rest of the frame, allowing twice as much vertical flex as its nearest competitor while still being responsive when putting power through the crankset. The bottom bracket is a press-fit BB86.5 unit, while the tapered head tube is taller for a more upright fit for a wider range of riders and flexibilities. The fork is carbon fiber to reduce weight further and to soak up road vibration, and also features an aperture for a SpeedTrap wireless computer sensor. The Domane’s vanishing fender mounts, bottle mounts and rear rack mounts make it the perfect bike for long day trips or even commuting.

Equipping the Domane 2.0 is Shimano’s 10-speed Tiagra component group. The dual-control shifters, derailleurs, 50/34T compact crankset and 12-30T cassette work smoothly in concert for quick shifts and a huge gearing range for challenging hills. The levers are reach-adjustable for smaller hands and displays which end of the crankset or cassette your chain is on with a red indicator. Bontrager’s alloy road wheels are shod with 25mm R1 puncture-resistant tires for a smooth ride and reduced weight. Bontrager also brings alloy handlebars, stem, seatpost and Affinity 1 saddle to the list, completing the cockpit of this versatile machine.
