A bike built for women that has no compromises with fit, weight and performance and yet is still competitively priced? Felt has done it again with the 2015 ZW5. The refined fit of the ZW road bicycles ensures that female riders get a comfortable posture on the bike that doesn’t sacrifice control, even in the smallest of sizes. How small? The Petite size has a standover height of only 26.75” depending on tire size. The taller head tube, shorter top tube and more upright seat angle work together to build a shorter saddle-to-handlebar reach. Using Felt’s own UHC Performance carbon fiber with specific material placement allows for a smoother ride quality than a bicycle built for a larger, more powerful rider. The ZW5 still keeps the Z5’s BB30 bottom bracket for effective power transfer under hard pedaling, especially during uphill charges. The carbon fiber fork boasts a tapered alloy steerer tube for precise handling, especially in fast turns.

The 2015 Felt ZW5 has a new-for-2015 Shimano 105 component group that sees 11-speed shifting for the first time at this price level. The redesigned compact 50/34T crankset and huge 11-32T cassette provide a massive gearing range for long, steep climbs as well as high gearing for long descents. Adjustable-reach brake/shift levers can be adjusted for an easy reach with smaller hands, while less strength is needed to operate the redesigned front derailleur. Felt WRSL3 alloy wheels are shod with 25mm tires for an even smoother ride, while a Prologo Kappa EVO saddle is an excellent perch to view the road ahead. A shallow-drop alloy road handlebar and carbon fiber seatpost complete this effective new road machine.

A discounted bike fit session with a member of our helpful and knowledgeable staff is included with the purchase of this bicycle. Components can be substituted at an additional cost. Please call for details.
