A light, well-mannered, comfortably-fitting, carbon fiber road bike shouldn’t cost a fortune. Giant’s Defy Composite 2 makes that possible with innovative and useful touches. The frame features a taller head tube for an upright fit that accommodates a wider range of riders and flexibilities. Giant’s own Composite carbon fiber material is used throughout the frame, reducing weight and adding tremendous strength. The PowerCore bottom bracket anchors the crankset, producing flex-free power delivery for uphill charges. The tapered OverDrive head tube gives the Defy Composite 2 a razor-sharp feel in fast turns and under hard braking. An Advanced-Grade fork reduces weight further with an all-carbon steerer tube. The seat tube even features a rear-wheel cutout for an aerodynamic improvement.

Adorning the Defy Composite 2 is SRAM’s 10-speed Apex components, including the dual-control shifters, derailleurs, 50/34T compact crankset, wide-range 11-32T cassette and even the brake calipers. Every component is designed to work in concert, making every mile that much easier with increased reliability. Giant’s P-R2 alloy wheels are shod with 23mm FlatGuard tires for a smooth ride and positive grip. Giant's Vector Composite carbon fiber seatpost is topped with a Performance Road saddle, while the alloy Connect stem and handlebar help you keep everything under control.
