The 2014 Giant TCR Advanced 1 is, at its core, built for speed. The frame is constructed of Giant’s own Composite carbon fiber, producing a rigid yet featherweight chassis. The bike’s PowerCore press-fit bottom bracket and tapered OverDrive head tube anchor each end of the frame’s massive down tube for flex-free power delivery. Steep climbs and town-line sprints are done with nothing wasted due to a rubbery frame. Dual bottle mounts, an aperture for a Giant RideSense speed/cadence sensor, and an aero-shaped seat tube are just some of the touches that make the TCR Composite 1 a refined machine. Even the fork is also an all-carbon fiber construction, reducing fatiguing vibration as well as weight.

Shimano’s latest 11-speed Ultegra components are used for long life and flawless operation, including the shifters, derailleurs, updated 4-arm 50/34T crankset, 11-28T cassette and chain. Giant’s P-R2 alloy wheels are wrapped with 23mm P-R3 tires for low rolling resistance and easier acceleration. A foil-shaped Giant Vector Composite seatpost is topped with a Performance Road saddle. An alloy Connect handlebar and stem complete this race-ready bike.
