Giant pulled out all the stops and added disc brakes to their Liv Avail bikes with impressive results. Disc brakes offer safe, predictable braking in all conditions, offering peace of mind when stopping power is critical. But the Liv Avail Advanced is more than just disc brakes…

The heart of the Avail Advanced 2 is an Advanced-grade carbon fiber frame that soaks up fatiguing vibration over broken pavement. The bike’s geometry and fit is better proportioned to fit female riders with a taller head tube, giving the bike a more upright fit. A shorter top tube length and a smaller standover height allow a wider range of riders and flexibilities to fit comfortably. A long wheelbase gives stability over abrupt pavement changes. The Avail Advanced 2 features a press-fit PowerCore bottom bracket that all but eliminates energy-robbing frame flex. The tapered OverDrive head tube gives the bike a more precise feel in fast turns. The fork is also Advanced-grade carbon fiber, reducing weight further. Even the seat post is Giant’s own D-Fuse Composite, making sudden jolts a little kinder.

The Liv Avail Advanced 2 is equipped with Shimano’s newest 11-speed 105 components for lightning-quick operation. The new 105 shifters are reach-adjustable for smaller hands, and the derailleurs require less hand strength to operate. The crankset is a Shimano 50-34 compact unit, while the a wide range 11-32 cassette provides a massive gearing range. The disc brakes are TRP’s Spyre calipers and discs, bringing massive stopping power and excellent lever feel to the table. Giant’s P-R2 alloy disc-specific wheelset is shod with 25mm P-R3 tires for a smooth feel and confident grip. A Giant Connect alloy stem, saddle and shallow-drop handlebar complete the package.

A discounted bike fit session with a member of our helpful and knowledgeable staff is included with the purchase of this bicycle. Components can be substituted at an additional cost. Please call for details.
