The Silque series of road bicycles received rave reviews when it was introduced, and now the Silque S has arrived in our showroom. The frame is produced with Trek’s own 400 series OCLV carbon fiber, ensuring incredible strength in a very light platform. The Silque’s elegantly tapered frame tubes and geometry have been optimized for a female rider, allowing for a more comfortable fit for a wider range of flexibilities and fitness levels. The IsoSpeed decoupler found at the top tube/seat tube juncture permits the seat tube to flex vertically while traveling over rough and choppy pavement, ensuring class-leading ride quality. The frame of the Silque S has high-performance details where you look: A BB90 bottom bracket for effective pedaling response when charging uphill. A 3S chain keeper to prevent the chain from dropping from the small chainring. Brake and derailleur cables are routed inside the frame for a clean look. The left chainstay has an aperture for an ANT+ speed/cadence sensor (sold separately). Even vanishing fender mounts in the fork and rear wheel dropouts. The carbon fiber fork of the Silque S has a tapered steerer tube, giving the bike a confident feel during twisty descents and under hard braking.

Shimano’s newest 11-speed 105 components are found throughout the bike, including the dual-control levers, derailleurs, 11-32T cassette, multi-pivot brake calipers and even the chain. A Shimano RS500 compact crankset provides a wide gearing range for steep climbs and storming descents. The shifting is easier, especially with the redesigned front derailleur, while the brakes offer improved lever feedback. With a huge gearing range offered by the lighter 4-arm compact crankset and 11-32T cassette, very few ascents will intimidate the rider. The Silque S is equipped with Bontrager alloy tubeless-ready wheels that are shod with 25mm-wide R1 tires for effective cornering grip and easy acceleration. Bontrager also supplies the alloy Race Lite stem, shallow-drop VR-S handlebars, carbon fiber seatpost and Affinity 1 WSD saddle.
