The Trek 820 is a bike we chose to be a user-friendly introduction to a quality-built mountain bike for younger, first-time off-roaders. Every 820 is assembled with the same care as Trek's finest road racing machines for a safe and functional feel. The step-through frame is made from steel tubing with an upright fit, and features lots of mounts for fenders and a rear rack. The 820’s Suntour suspension fork will soak up bumps on trails and bike paths alike, while the saddle has a quick-release for easy adjustment for a growing rider. Shimano Tourney shifters and derailleurs are easy for smaller hands to operate, while alloy wheels and Bontrager tires make every mile smoother.
