An OCLV Mountain carbon fiber frame is just the start of this new race-ready trail tamer. The Trek Superfly 9.6 uses a value-packed mix of components to produce a machine that is more than ready for your first cross-country event. The frame’s BB95 bottom bracket and Closed Convert rear dropouts ensures zero flex in the drivetrain, even while charging uphill out-of-the-saddle. The tapered head tube holds the air-adjustable RockShox Reba RL suspension fork. With 100mm of travel and a 15mm thru-axle, The Superfly 9.6’s front wheel goes where you point it, especially on technical trails. Shimano’s 10-speed Deore shifters operate a SRAM X7 front derailleur and a Shimano XT rear derailleur at lightning speed, even under hard pedaling loads. An alloy FSA 36/22T crankset is paired with an 11-36T cassette for a huge gearing range. Shimano provides the hydraulic disc brakes for precise stopping power. Bontrager’s alloy AT-850 wheels are wrapped with meaty 2.2” XR1 29’er tires for serious grip on rocky singletrack. Bontrager also brings a Race Lite stem and seatpost topped with an Evoke 2 saddle.
