When you’re ready to make the leap to a capable cross-country 29’er hardball, Felt brought down the entry-level price for a carbon fiber (yes, carbon fiber) racer with the new Nine 5. Designed around a World Cup-capable geometry, the Nine 5’s UHC carbon fiber frame offers nimble handling, incredibly light weight and instant pedaling response. The frame itself is but using Felt’s proprietary InsideOut construction technique for excellent quality control as well as uniform weight and ride quality. A tapered head tube ensures precise handling, even in twisty, technical trails. An air-adjustable RockShox XC32 Solo Air suspension fork helps keep the font wheel planted, while a lockout function allows the rider more control on pavement.

Shimano’s 10-speed Deore shifters and derailleurs provide fingertip operation, even under hard pedaling loads. A Deore 38/24T crankset and an 11-36T cassette ensure a wide gearing range for the Nine 5, even on roller-coaster race courses. Alloy WTB 29’er double-wall rims are shod with 2.25-wide Schwalbe Rapid Rob tires for commanding grip and control. Shimano M355 hydraulic brakes reign in speed with enhanced brake lever feedback. An alloy seatpost, WTB Silverado saddle, alloy stem and handlebar complete the cockpit of the new Felt Nine 5. Get ready to pin on a number.
