Cross-country race machines are constantly evolving, and the new breed of 27.5"-wheeled machines are leading the charge at World Cup races and local events alike. Giant’s Anthem 27.5 3 takes that wheel size and mates it to the Anthem platform for a nimble, race-ready bike. The Anthem’s ALUXX-SL aluminum main frame is butted and hydroformed for light weight and confident strength. An OverDrive tapered steerer tube ensures precise handling, while a press-fit PowerCore bottom bracket all but eliminates drivetrain flex, even during uphill sprints. Giant’s exclusive 100mm-travel Maestro rear suspension suffers no “suspension bob” during hard cranking, and is managed with an air-adjustable RockShox Monarch R shock. At the front, An air-adjustable RockShox Recon Gold RL suspension fork boasts 100mm of travel, and keeps the front wheel pointed with a 15mm thru-axle.

Shimano’s capable 10-speed Deore shifters, derailleurs, and 24/38T crankset work together with an 11-36T cassette for precise operation in messy conditions. Giant’s S-XC2 alloy 27.5” wheels are shod with Schwalbe Racing Ralph 2.25” tires, giving the Anthem confident grip and easy acceleration. Shimano M395 hydraulic disc brakes keep speed under control with 160mm rotors. Giant’s alloy Connect Trail handlebars, stem, seatpost and saddle complete the furniture for this high-performance, high-value machine.
