Trek’s Superfly Full Suspension bikes have one thing in common: A rear suspension geometry that redefines how well a bike can handle in a wider range of applications. The Active Braking Pivot suspension adds the rearmost pivot at the centerline of the rear axle, eliminating movement of the suspension under hard pedaling or hard braking. Brilliant! The Active Braking Pivot -or ABP- Convert rear suspension uses a thru-axle to enhance the tracking of the rear wheel, helping the rider put the power down more effectively without fishtailing. Even the suspension pivot link is high-tech, using Flow Mold technology carbon fiber for incredible lightness and strength. The main frame uses Trek’s own Alpha Platinum aluminum tubing to maximize strength while reducing weight. A tapered E2 head tube and press-fit bottom bracket enhances the frame’s torsional resistance further, and refines the handling in rock gardens. An air-adjustable RockShox Monarch RL shock soaks up impacts in the rear while an air-adjustable RockShox Reba RL helps keep the front wheel going where you want it. A 15mm Maxle front thru-axle keeps steering feeling razor-sharp. 100mm travel on both ends is plenty for most cross-country courses.

The Superfly FS 7 is equipped with Shimano’s 10-speed Deore shifters, Deore XT Shadow Plus rear derailleur and SRAM X7 front derailleur for precise operation and long service life. An FSA 36/22 crankset and wide range 11-36T cassette provide a massive gearing range for challenging courses. Deore hydraulic brakes ensure ample stopping power along with improved lever feedback compared to cable-actuated disc brakes. Bontrager’s alloy Mustang Elite tubeless-ready wheels and XR1 Expert 29x2.2" tires keep the Superfly FS 7 nimble and grippy in equal measure. Bontrager also brings an Evoke saddle, SSR alloy seatpost, alloy Low Riser handlebar and Race Lite stem to the parts list.

The Superfly FS 7 comes with a suspension-specific shock pump for on-trail adjustment.
