A cross-country mountain bike needs to strike a balance between light weight, agility, reliability and performance. The Trek Superfly FS (Full Suspension) 9.7 SL checks all the boxes in the quest to be the fastest off-road machine when you pin on a number. Trek’s renowned OCLV Mountain Carbon material is used to construct an ultra-light main triangle, providing a rigid anchor for the bike and the rider to perform around. The tapered E2 head tube helps keep the fork from feeling rubbery in technical sections, while the BB95 bottom bracket holds the crankset for instant pedal response, especially during out-of-the-saddle climbs. Internal cable routing keeps shifting smooth, even in sloppy conditions. The alloy rear stays link the rear suspension to the rear wheel with an ABP (Active Braking Pivot) Convert dropout, that effectively eliminate suspension movement with each pedal stroke, no matter how forceful. The air-adjustable Fox Evolution Series Float CTD (Climb-Trail-Descend) rear shock functions through another Trek exclusive: a one-piece Flow Mold carbon swing link. By eliminating lateral play in the swing link, the 100mm rear suspension can function more smoothly during side impacts found on most slippery singletrack. The front suspension duties are performed by an air-adjustable Fox Evolution Series 32 Float CTD fork. A 15mm thru-axle adds a precise feel to the Superfly’s handling.

Shimano’s 10-speed Deore shifters and front derailleur are matched with a Deore XT Shadow Plus rear derailleur for smooth operation and long service life. A Shimano SLX 38/24T crankset is matched to an 11-36T cassette for roller-coaster singletrack. Shimano hydraulic SLX disc brakes manage speed effectively, while alloy Bontrager tubeless-ready wheels are wrapped with 29x2.2" XR1 Expert tires for confident grip. Bontrager’s alloy Elite seatpost, Low Riser handlebar, Race Lite stem and Evoke 2 saddle complete the cockpit of this off-road warrior.
