2015 Trek Crockett 5

Colors: Crystal White

Sizes: 56cm

Tested on World Cup courses across Europe, the Crockett is now available for everyone! A reshaped Alpha aluminum frame keeps weight low and strength high for nimble handling and effective power delivery. The flattened top tube is also more comfortable for shouldering the bike on steep run-ups. Refined with input by pro racers like Katie Compton, the Crockett’s geometry has been refined for balanced handling and stability on a wide range of courses. A BB86.5 press-fit bottom bracket anchors the crankset for instant pedaling response. The Crockett’s tapered E2 head tube holds the full-carbon fiber fork for a precise feel on fast descents and technical turns. The IsoSpeed fork itself soaks up vibration with a slight tweak to the dropout and also offers massive mud clearance under the crown. By installing the brake housing stop at the fork crown, brake chatter is eliminated. This means the rider will be more likely to sneak up on competition under hard braking. Internal cable routing reduces long-term maintenance during muddy racing seasons. An integrated 3S chain keeper prevents unshipped chains on bumpy courses. No, there’s not much that the Crockett has left out when it comes to race-ready details.

Shimano’s 10-speed 105 derailleurs and shifters provide long service life and quick operation in equal measure. An FSA Energy Cross 46/36T crankset and Tiagra 12-30T cassette provide a huge gearing range for roller coaster courses. The Crockett 5’s Bontrager alloy wheels are tubeless ready and are shod with 32mm Bontrager CX3 Team Issue tires for tenacious grip in soft and muddy conditions. Tektro alloy cantilever brakes keep mud clearance and stopping power high. A Bontrager Evoke 1 saddle sits atop a 2-bolt alloy Bontrager seatpost that is designed for brutal remounts. Matched with a Bontrager Race handlebar and Race Lite stem, the Crockett 5 might be one of the most refined aluminum cyclocross bikes built today.
