Trek's new 920 is a touring bike that knows no fear. Any adventure across any terrain can be accomplished with the Trek 920 Disc. The 920's 100 Series Alpha aluminum frame has been hydroformed for maximum strength, ensuring a solid feel while loaded down with panniers and camping gear. Multiple bottle mounts, rack mounts and fender mounts provide versatility for long-range tours or just commuting across town. The frame and alloy fork are disc-brake-only, and feature 142x12 rear and 15mm front thru-axle dropouts for enhanced torsional strength. A rear BackRack Deluxe rack with Bontrager Interchange bag compatability is included, along with a front pannier rack.

The 920's component group also needed to be rugged for month-long expeditions. A Bontrager Duster Elite tubeless-ready wheelset is shod with 29x2.0 Bontrager XR1 tires, giving the rider confidence and control. 10-speed SRAM 500 bar-end shifters operate an X7 rear derailleur and X5 front derailleur, reducing complexity in the drivetrain. The SRAM S1000 crankset's 42/28T chainring combination and 11-36T cassette offer a massive gearing range. Stopping power is also improved, thanks to hydraulic TRP Hylex disc brakes and 160mm rotors. An alloy Bontrager SSR seatpost, Race VR-C handlebar, Elite Blendr stem and Evoke 1.5 saddle offer a durable cockpit.
