Felt's entry-level road bike is not an afterthought. The Z100 makes a strong argument that they want a first-time road bike rider to have as much fun as an experienced racer. A lightweight hydroformed aluminum frame keeps weight down while at the overall fit and geometry is comfortable and stable. The Z100's taller tapered head tube allows a wider range of riders and rider flexibilities to get comfortable for hours in the saddle. An Endurance road UHC carbon fiber fork features a tapered steerer for a more precise feel on twisty descents. Shimano 8-speed Claris components are found at the shifters and derailleurs, giving the Z100 fingertip control. An FSA Tempo crankset with 50/34T chainrings coupled with an 11-32T Shimano cassette bring a huge gearing range for long climbs and steep descents. In addition to the regular dual-control levers, the Z100 sports bar-top brake levers for an addtional hand position that is especially useful on crowded bike paths and city streets. Alloy Felt wheels are shod with 25mm All Weather tires for a smooth ride. An adjustable-angle aluminum stem, alloy seatpost, and Endurance road saddle complete this value-packed bike
