Light weight, a great fit, a smooth ride and hydraulic disc brakes?!

Felt makes the rest of the industry stand up and take notice with their innovative designs, and so should you! Their Z4 Disc brings all the best features of their Z Series road bikes and adds SRAM's hydraulic disc brakes to the party.
Felt's UHC Performance carbon fiber continues to be their material of choice for a bicycle that will be ridden for many hours. A balance of stiffness, strength and dialed-in flexibility through perfected layering of carbon fiber makes the Z4 Disc a great bike for century riders looking to feel fresher, longer. Too soft, and the ride might be comfy, but the bike will handle like a wet sponge. Too rigid, and a responsive bicycle won't soak up enough vibration, leaving the rider prematurely tired. Felt's InsideOut construction process allows for less resin to be used in the frame's construction, reducing weight further and making weights more consistant across a size run. The BB30 bottom bracket anchors the crankset effectively, transferring every watt to the rear wheel without energy-robbing frame flex. Internal cable routing adds a sleek and tidy look to the Z4 Disc, as well as making the shifter cables more weather-resistant. IS disc brake caliper mounts are user-friendly to mechanics. The Z4 Disc's fork is also constructed from UHC carbon fiber from steerer to dropouts, also eliminating unneeded weight and soaking up vibration further. The fork's steerer tube is also tapered from 1-1/2" to 1-1/8" for more torsional rigidity, enhancing handling during high-speed turns and descents.
The Z4 Disc also boasts a more upright endurance fit to accommodate a wider range of riders. If a more aggressive fit is requested, the stem of the Z4 Disc can simply be inverted, or an entirely different stem used.
An endurance bike should offer a drivetrain that functions smoothly and easily under the hands. Enter SRAM's Rival 22 shifters and derailleurs. SRAM's Rival WiFli rear deraiilleur shifts the chain across an 11-32T cassette, while the Rival Yaw front derailleur handles shifting duties across the SRAM Rival 50/34T compact crankset. Yes, the low gear is a 34x32. That ratio is actually easier than a 30x28 from the days of triple cranksets. Maybe you can't ride up the side of your garage, but you might be tempted to... The SRAM Rival DoubleTap shifters also house the hydraulic reservoirs for the Rival disc brake calipers. If you're looking for stopping power in all conditions, hydraulic disc brakes win every time. Mavic's alloy Aksium ONE disc brake wheels eliminate the extra rotating weight of rim braking surfaces, making the Z4 Disc more lively under acceleration. Mavic's own 25mm Aksium tires add comfort while adding lateral grip for confident cornering. A Felt alloy road handlebar, adjustable-angle alloy stem, UHC carbon fiber seat post and Prologo Scratch 2 T2.0 saddle complete this century-ready machine.
