When confronted with challenging bike courses, lots of triathletes look for upgrades to their bicycles: Aero wheels, component upgrades and even better saddles. The Felt DA3 does it all for you in one move.

Felt's experience with bicycle aerodynamics comes from wind tunnel testing and CFD computer programs, but it also comes from input from Olympic gold medal athletes like Kristin Armstrong. A rider's feedback can help Felt bicycles produce better ride quality in their bikes as well as a very aerodynamic one. Consistant quality and manufacturing of carbon fiber is made possible with Felt's proprietary InsideOut construction process. UHC Advanced carbon fiber is the raw material that Felt uses for its DA series tri-bikes, ensuring light weight and also impressive torsional strength. The DA3 uses all these technologies when it was turned loose, and adds to the bike's prowess with race-oriented details: Internal cable routing, Bayonet 3 UHC carbon fiber fork, hidden rear brake caliper, ultra-rigid BB30 bottom bracket and a UHC carbon fiber aero seat post. Horizontal dropouts allow for precise frame/tire spacing, depending on tire choice.

The wheelset of the DA3 is produced by Reynolds, a world leader in aero carbon fiber wheels. Using different cross-section sizes, this set of Reynolds wheels are more effective when dealing with crosswinds, yet can slice though the air like a hot cinder through jell-o. With a 20-aero-spoke rear and 18-aero-spoke front, the wheelset is already an upgrade. 23mm tires keep rolling resistance low and smooth out rough pavement.

Shimano's 11-speed Dura-Ace derailleurs and shifters make for quick operation and long service life. A 52/36T crankset and 11-25T cassette add a massive gearing range to the DA3, making short work of roller-coaster courses. Aero brake levers operate the integrated Felt calipers that are shaped to hug the fork up front and hide from the wind under the bottom bracket. An aero base bar and carbon fiber S-bend aero extensions are 8-way adjustable, making for a comfortable fit for sprint-distance races or IronMan events. A Bayonet 3 aero stem and Prologo Nago Evo Tri saddle complete the cockpit.
