2014 Trek District S
Color: Matte Black
Sizes: 52, 56, and 58cm
The current trend in urban commuting bikes goes towards single-speed machines, but that doesn't mean it has to be less functional.
The District S starts with a lightweight and hydroformed Alpha Gold aluminum frame, keeping total weight low for hilly rides and shouldering the bike. The frame's impressive torsional strength ensures that the District S will maneuver better in tight spaces and accelerate easily away from stoplights. Horizontal dropouts make chain tensioning easy, while fender and bottle mounts add versatility. A 17T freewheel and 44T alloy crankset brings a just-right gear combination to the party. Durable 32-spoke alloy wheels feature bolt-on hubs for added security in bike racks. The rear hub is a flip-flop hub, and can accept a fixed cog (sold separately). 28mm AW1 Hard-Case Lite tires provide confident grip. Bontrager's SSR saddle, Nebula seatpost, alloy stem and Urban handlebar complete this urban warrior.
