This Superfly 5 comes from across the pond, but is still a benchmark for light and nimble racing hardtails.

The Superfly series helped define mountain bike design, allowing larger 29'er wheels to conquer challenging trails as well as better handling. This 29'er is ready to toe the start line with a feather-light Alpha Platinum Aluminum frame, making every hill less of a challenge. Hydroformed tubing increases frame strength, keeping the Superfly 5 flex-free during uphill charges. A tapered E2 head tube improves handling, especially through rock gardens and rough terrain. A Closed Convert thru-axle rear dropout increases torsional strength further while all but eliminating disc brake rub. G2 geometry makes the Superfly 5 nimble at every speed. The RockShox Recon Silver suspension fork boasts 100mm of suspension travel for lightweight performance. Air-adjustability allows for custom tuning. There's even a remote lockout switch on the handlebar!

Shimano's 10-speed Deore shifters offer lightning-quick operation, while The Superfly 5's Shimano Deore XT Shadow rear derailleur can shift flawlessly, even under heavy pedaling loads. A RaceFace Ride crankset features a 36/22T chainring combination, and the 11-36T rear cassette gives a wide range of gearing options for challenging terrain. Bontrager Mustang Elite alloy 29'er wheels are tubeless-ready, and are wrapped with tubeless-ready 2.20" Bontrager XR1 Expert tires. Shimano hydraulic disc brakes help keep speed under control, even in wet and sloppy conditions. A Bontrager Evoke 2 saddle sits atop an alloy SSR seatpost, while an alloy Bontrager Elite Blendr stem and alloy handlebar complete this unique racer.
