The Electra Townie is the one that started it all! The Townie has a clever frame design that lets you sit on the saddle comfortably and have both feet on the ground. When you pedal away, you still get full leg extenstion for an easy ride! Brilliant! Called Flat Foot Technology, it allows a wider range of riders to fit -and pedal- comfortably in city and commuter situations. The Townie's light weight aluminum frame is light and strong for dealing with hills, while rack, fenders and bottle mounts add versatility. The Townie has a very upright fit with adjustable handlebars and stem. A Shimano 7-speed Revo twist-shifter operates a Shimano Mega Range rear derailleur across 7 speeds. An 11-34T rear cassette and 44T crankset boast a huge gearing range for all-day rides. A wide, cushy saddle helps in that department as well. 26" Alloy wheels and 2.2" semi-slick tires handle bumpy roads and trails with ease. Once you try a Townie, everything else doesn't seem to have the best feature: Fun!
