The FastRoad SLR 1 has all the attributes you need in a light and nimble road bike, but the upright fit and flat bar make it invaluable in the city.

When you need a bike for city riding -and want it to be fast- the FastRoad SLR 1 checks all the boxes. With a feather-light ALUXX SLR-grade aluminum frame, the bike already has a head start on the competition. The frame's hydroformed tubes add a dash of compliance over rough and choppy pavement, while the OverDrive tapered head tube produces a razor-sharp feel in fast turns. Hard braking and rough pavement is no problem for the Composite fork either. The Composite D-Fuse seatpost is a Giant exclusive, improving ride comfort over rough surfaces, pavement transitions and railroad tracks. The FastRoas SLR 1's compact frame allows a wider range of riders to fit comfortably, and shorten the bike's standover height.

 Shimano's redesigned 10-speed Tiagra components boast a lighter touch for shifting, especially for the new front derailleur. The rear derailleur also has expanded capacity, allowing the FastRoad SLR 1 to run a large 11-34T Tiagra rear cassette. An FSA Omega 50/34T crankset offers a wide gearing range for steep inclines. Giant's alloy SR-2 32-spoke wheels are disc-specific and are shod with 28mm S-R3 all-conditions tires for a smooth ride and easy speed. Hydraulic Tektro Auriga brakes add confident stopping power, even in wet and rainy conditions. A Giant Connect alloy stem and Connect XC handlebar are augmented with a set of bar-ends.
