Any road bike will require less effort over any hill -or over any distance- compared to a mountain bike or hybrid. Will that mean the F95 Jr. is a good race machine? Yes! But it also means that the joys of riding aren't discouraged with heavy or cumbersome machinery for your little one. Benchmarks like a 20-mile ride, or finishing a kid's triathlon are suddenly more approachable. The F95 Jr.'s light weight starts with a frame built with Felt's own FLite butted aluminum and a UHC carbon fiber fork. Since the F95 Jr. isn't built for dirt jumps or off-road singletrack, the whole frameset has been lightened for easy hill climbing and acceleration on roads and paths. Alloy 650c Alex wheels are wrapped with 23mm Vittoria Rubino tires for low rolling resistance and a smooth ride quality. Short-reach road handlebars and MicroShift dual-control shifters make it easy for little hands to operate and fit comfortably. Shimano's Sora rear derailleur offers easy gear changes as well.
