The Defy 1 is Giant's flagship aluminum endurance bike. With a light and compliant ALUXX SL-grade frame and Composite fork, century rides and spirited training sessions will feel faster and more fun than ever before.

The Defy 1's geometry isn't trying to make the bike the equivilant of a Formula 1 racer. A better description of the Defy 1's handling is "Bentley Continental GT". Comfortable, yet still swift and responsive, the Defy 1 helps gobble up the miles without batting an eyelash. The aluminum frame has been hydroformed and shaped for improved torsional strength as well as light weight. The ingenious D-Fuse Composite seat post soaks up rough pavement surprisingly well, while the more upright geometry allows the Defy 1 to fit a wider range of riders and flexibilties.

Shimano's 11-speed 105 components offer a massive gearing range with an 11-32T rear cassette, while redesigned dual-control 105 levers make shfting even easier. An FSA Gossamer Pro 50/34T compact crankset adds a useful set of climbing gears for challenging hills. Alloy P-R2 wheels are wrapped with 25mm tires for a smooth ride, while a Giant Performance Road saddle offers a comfy perch on rides of any distance.
