The Marlin 5 gets down to business with an Alpha Silver aluminum frame that is both light and rugged. With clever hydroformed tubes and a dialed frame geometry, the Marlin 5 goes where you point it. Mounts for bottles, rack and fenders (sold separately) make the Marlin 5 a versatile runabout as well as a trail-tamer. The Marlin 5's adjustable Suntour XCT suspension fork helps soak up bumps and keep the front wheel planted. Alloy Bontrager 29'er wheels boast 32-spoke construction and are wrapped with trail-ready XR2 tires for easy acceleration and confident grip. Tektro's M280 cable-operated disc brakes bring better stopping power to the Marlin 5, even in wet and sloppy conditions. Lightning-quick shifting is courtesy of Shimano's 7-speed RapidFire shifters and Tourney deraillers. A Shimano Tourney 42/34/24T crankset and 12-32T Shimano cassette offer a massive gearing range for roller-coaster singletrack. An alloy Bontrager Blendr stem adds mounts for optional lights or a computer, while a Bontrager Evoke 1 saddle provides a comfortable perch for day-long adventures.
