 Zektor is a new family of urban-oriented commuter bikes built with an eye towards nimble handling and less-than perfect conditions.

The Zektor 3 is the most affordable of Trek's Zektor range. Built with a lightweight Alpha Gold aluminum frame and alloy fork, the Zektor 3 has a light feel and will never be subjected to rust in rainy conditions. The exotic tube shapes add strength to the Zektor 3, providing excellent pedaling response when accelerating away from stoplights. Riders looking for a short wheelbase and aggressive fit will be rewarded with a machine that feels like a road bike, not a beach cruiser. The flattened top tube is more comfortable for shouldering the bike when carrying it up a staircase. Internal cable routing keeps shifter cables fresher in messy conditions. Mounts for bottle cages, fenders and a rear rack allow the Zektor 3 to handle commuting, shopping and cross-town rides with ease. There's even an aperture in the left chainstay for an ANT+ DuoTrap S speed/cadence sensor (sold separately).

The Zektor 3's components are no-nonsense, and allow the rider to handle a wide range of obsticles the urban jungle throws in your way. Shimano's 8-speed Claris flat-bar shifters and derailleurs operate with lightning-quickness, while an FSA 50/34T Vuelta Corsa crankset and 11-32T Shimano cassette boasts a wide gearing range to help with roller-coaster hills and streets. Tektro's hydraulic disc brakes bring confident stopping power to the Zektor 3, and function effectively in wet or dry conditions. Alloy Bontrager AT-750 wheels are wrapped with 700x32c Bontrager H2 Hard-Case Lite tires, adding a smooth ride and confident grip. The tires sport reflective sidewalls, improving visibility in poor light conditions. Bontrager's Sport saddle sits atop an alloy SSR seatpost, while an accessory-ready stem and alloy handlebar complete the cockpit of this affordably priced urban machine.
