The answer is a resounding yes!
Giant's Escape series of hybrids have been a customer favorite for years, and the addition of hydraulic Tektro disc brakes means more reliability and functionality in wet weather conditions. The Escape 1 begins with an ALUXX-grade aluminum frame with flowing tube shapes that add strength and lightness in equal measure. A Composite carbon fiber fork reduces overall weight as well, and keeps the Escape 1 Disc feeling smooth over rough pavement. Rack and fender mounts add versatility, while internal cable routing gives the Escape 1 Disc a smooth look. Shimano's 9-speed shifters are at your fingertips, while Shimano Altus derailleurs offer lightning-quick operation. A 48/36/26T Altus crankset and 11-34T Shimano add a wide gearing range for steep climbs and heavy loads. Alloy wheels are shod with Giant's own 700x32c S-X2 tires, adding confident grip and a smooth feel. The Escape 1 Disc also boasts alloy Sport handlebars, seatpost, stem and Contact saddle.
