Giant's trail bikes have been popular for many reasons -value, build quality, handling- but have they ever brought this much to the table in one bike? The Stance 1 is equipped for first-time full-suspension mountan bike owners that will take their riding seriously for years to come. No corner was cut in the build list, starting with an ALUXX-grade butted aluminum frame. Giving the Stance 1 an excellent "chassis" to build around, the frame boasts Giant's FlexPoint rear suspension geometry for excellent handling precision in technical terrain. The air-adjustable Fox Performance shock helps keep the rear wheel planted in rock gardens and washboard surfaces alike. The fork is installed in a tapered OverDrive head tube, providing an extra dash of razor-sharp feel on challenging surfaces. Fox provides the air-adjustable 32 Rhythm fork with 120mm of travel and a thru-axle front hub.

Shimano's excellent 11-speed SLX components are found throughout the drivetrain, including the rear shifter, Shadow+ rear derailleur, single-ring 30T crankset and 11-46T cassette. This reliable Shimano component group (was that redundant?) will be welcomed by riders of all experience and skill levels, even if you have fists of ham and fingers of butter. Tubeless-ready alloy Giant XC-1 wheels are shod with 27.5 Maxxis Ardent tires, bringing bags of grip to the trails. Shimano's hydraulic disc brakes add plenty of stopping power in all conditions, rain or shine (or mud). A TranzX dropper post carries a Giant Contact neutral saddle, while an alloy Contact stem and Contact handlebar completes this trail-ready machine.
