Arnold Schwinn The World Bicycle

This is a Vintage Pre-war Schwinn "The World" women's balloon tire bicycle.  Please note the chainline adjusters, frame mounted seat bolt, no fork truss braces (missing?), original fender headlight, and bolt on kickstand.  The fenders, chainguard, frame, and forks are all in good shape, with little to no rust but some scratches.  The pinstriping is in excellent shape, with both the red and white colors showing excellent on almost the entire surface.  The chainguard, seat tube, and top tube logos are in excellent shape.  Rust is starting to form on the rims and fender braces, but not really on the bike itself.  The chainguard is dent free but not scratch free.  The bike seems mostly original - as original as a pre-war bike can be. 

No headbadge, but the outline is visible.
Tank is in great shape, includes horn (not sure if it works).  No dents, great paint.
Fenders are in good shape with only a few dents but some scratches.  Back edge of front fender is a little chewed.
Fender light is in good shape with lens but will need a little chrome/cleaning/ maybe repaint.

Specifications:

Seatpost - straight steel post, no chrome

Saddle - is rideable but in rough condition, bottom is rusted and will need work and the top is dry and cracked - will need a recover

Stem -  original quill style with no chrome

Handlebars - 22" wide steel bar with no chrome left, oval Schwinn logo grips which are in good shape

Crankset - dog leg driveside arm, steel drop forged Ashtabula style crank, 4 hole style chainring, skiptooth, chrome is mostly gone

Pedals - Torrington Meteor No 3 with wear and some rust, definitely usable  but worn, womens 3.5"

hubs - New Departure Model D coaster brake rear hub, Schwinn script front hub, both chromed steel, work fine, but would suggest (as always) a rebuild on both
rims - steel balloon dropcenter rims, 26", white with 2 maroon pinstripes, showing some rust

tires are not usable, need replacements
