Triumph Racer Sport Bicycle

This auction is for a Vintage Triumph 3 Speed Sports Bicycle.  This is a lightweight British Bicycle manufactured by Raleigh for the Triumph Bicycle Brand which Raleigh had acquired from the esteemed motorcycle manufacturer Triumph in 1954.  The bike is equipped with many parts and accessories that were also equipped on the Raleigh Sports model bicycle such as the metal fenders and chain guard which are virtually identical minus the different branding.  This particular bike appears to be almost completely original minus the rear ESGE rack which was an aftermarket add on and the white Schwinn grips (the Triumph came equipped with white Sturmey Archer branded grips.  Both the saddle and rear hub date to 1973.  This bike appears to be in near working order with the exception of rear rim and possibly the spokes needing replacement, as such it's difficult to determine how functional the Sturmey Archer 3 speed hub is however due to extremely durable nature and pristine condition of the paint we imagine that once the rear wheel is rebuilt the hub would function with only minor possible adjustments.  As mentioned the paint and frame are in excellent condition and have been very well preserved.  Please see our photographs for details.
