This vintage beauty is mostly original with the exception of the front rim, seatpost and saddle - the seatpost and saddle have been replaced with more modern components and the hub was rebuilt with a rim and spokes. With beautiful lugs and a quality Vitus steel frame, this bicycle would make a great eye-catching ride! The bicycle has been well loved and the patina of it's former life shows through with paint chipping, especially on the seatstays where it appears to have spent some time leaning, and rub marks from various bags and attachments that it had at one time. This Suntour V GT Luxe rear derailleur itself has a loyal following - it was the preferred derailleur of most early mountain bikers as it was stronger, lighter and more reliable than any other alternative at the time. Weinmann brakes and a french Pivo stem round out the finer details of this well made bicycle.

The bicycle has only a few chips and scratches in paint, and is in good condition for year that is was manufactured. The bicycle is free of major damage including bends and cracks.
