I bought this bike in 1983-4 and still use it for a ride when I want to sit up more and be aware of traffic. At least once a week. In my 30s, I did over 10 centuries on the bike. It's still doing great. I even was riding for who-knows-how-long on a broken rear axle.
Yes, it's heavy, very heavy. But a tank-like build is what keeps it going almost 40 years later.
