You are buying a rare vintage 54cm Romic steel touring bike. Romic bikes were custom built by Ray Gasiorowski in Houston, TX from the mid-70's until 2003. A former owner/operator of a bike shop in Maryland informs us that the serial numbers for Romic end in the date - most likely June 6, 1980.
This is a beautiful bike. The finish is a nice light blue that is in great condition with hardly any marks. Frame is likely made of Columbus steel with Campagnolo dropouts. Measurements: 54cm CTT, 52cm CTC, 56cm top tube.
Components include Dia-compe Gran Compe levers (very few dry cracks in the hoods) and Dia-Compe G side-pull brakes. Sakea "Road Champion" bars, SR stem, and a Shimano 600 headset (with star nut). Wheels are Weinmann rims with Phil Wood hubs. Drivetrain is made up of Suntour downtube shifters, Suntour Cyclone M-II FD, Suntour Vx RD, and a SR Aerox crank. Finish that off with a Avocet Touring 1 saddle and Kyokuto Top-Run pedals, a sturdy Blackburn rack and you've got a great vintage ride!
This bike is definitely ridable, parts are all in great shape, and would make a great addition to any collection.
