Details
You are buying a vintage 1970s Tease road bicycle. This bicycle features solid lugged steel construction very similar to that seen on Huffy/Murry/AMF bikes from the 1970's bike boom. This bike was built with Shimano brake levers and Shimano Tourney brake calipers. From the production code stamped on the Sakae SR Grand Silver Chainwheel (crank) we believe this to be a late 1971 or early 1972 model. . The front derailleur is a Shimano ED-300 Thunderbird II and the rear derailleur is a Shimano Eagle. Features a 5 speed freewheel. Precision shifting is achieved via Shimano stem mount friction shift levers. Both the stem and handlebars were made by Alps Industrial Company Inc, the stem labelled Ace and the handlebars labelled Road Champion. The saddle is a black vinyl Taihei Unite.
The saddle is in good condition - just one small tear - but the rails have a little rust. The frame is scratched and has a little surface rust. The stickers bearing the Tease name are also scratched. The rims are nice, components are in good shape, and the handlebar tape looks new.
This bike is ridable and has been quickly gone over by one of our shops mechanics , but we recommend a tune-up after it has been shipped. See photographs for details.
