This is a Vintage Trek Tri-Series 500 Road Bicycle.  This bike is the 1986 model year confirmed both by catalog prints and serial dating.  Bike is all original minus the newer Velo saddle, unmarked alloy seat post (stock was a SR CRE-100 Forged Alloy Post), Dia-Compe Brakes (as apposed to Shimano Z series brakes) and the clincher tires.  This bike has been professionally tuned by a shop mechanic and upon re-assembly from shipping is fully ready to ride.  The frame is constructed from custom butted Reynolds 531 Double butted tubes, the fork is Tange chrome-moly with CCL Crown, stays are tapered chrome-moly.  Features Trek Investment Cast chrome lug work and a Nikko Special bottom bracket shell.  Color is the Red and White fade.  The bike was fully manufactured and painted in Waterloo WI, USA.  This bike is in great condition, the paint has some flecks dings but the frame is in excellent condition with no visible rusting.  Please see photographs for details referencing aesthetic defects (there may be more than photographed but we'll try to photograph the most glaring examples).
