Schwinn made this frame in Chicago in November of 1966 for the frame to be built up into a 1967 model Fastback Sting-Ray. The Fastback Sting-Ray sported the 5 speed stick shift, 20" wheels, a bucket saddle and the new Mag sprocket. Here we have the frame, seatpost, stem, handlebars and crankset ready to be built up.
The Fastback Sting-Ray was introduced in 1966 and ran through 1976. It was such a popular bike that they made a version for older/bigger kids and adults called the Manta-Ray which only ran from 1971-1972 due to low demand.
FRAME CONDITION:
This bicycle frame has only a few chips and scratches in paint, and is in good condition for year that is was manufactured. The frame is free of major damage including bends and cracks.
