Details
This rare, 1966 classic Raleigh RSW (Really Small Wheels) 16 would make a great restoration project, or with a little love, a nice rider. It appears to be all original, though it is missing the brake grips and tartan bag that it originally came with. The 3 speed Sturmey Archer hub works, and the shifter is built into the right grip. The chainring even has the shape of the Raleigh heron!
From the Raleigh catalog: "Designed as a convenient adjust to modern living, the new Raleigh RSW-16 provides a perfect form of transport for easy commuting, shopping, and moving quickly through traffic, 3-speed Sturmey Archer gear with twist-grip control, wide profile tires to cushion bumps, quick-release lever-adjusting saddle and control bar stems to fit any height, wrapover mudguards, fully sprung saddle with thick foam overlay and large capacity detachable carrier bag."
BIKE CONDITION:
The bicycle has a few chips and scratches in paint, and is in good condition for year that is was manufactured. The front fender and front wheel have suffered a fair bit of rust The bicycle is free of major damage including bends and cracks. The white pedal blocks are cupped, as is almost always sen on this sort of bike. The front tire will sit on the rim, though it can't be brought up to any real pressure - it would need to be replaced before being able to mount it properly on the rim.
This bicycle is being sold as is, please see photographs for details.
