Details

You are buying a vintage used Motobecane Nomade 18" kids bicycle. Made in France, this bicycle appears only in the 1975 model year catalog (albeit in a different color), we've seen this bike in this color around the web as a 1976 as well however it does not appear in the 1976 catalog. A true rare French collectible, very few of these were imported to the states and very few remain. Featuring a full 6 speed Huret drive train with down tube shifters this bike was marketed towards "the beginner who wants to enjoy the pleasures of true cycling." A Huret Svelto rear derailleur is paired to a Atom 3 speed freewheel, front shifting is provided via a Huret Club derailleur and a miniature 3 piece cotter pin crank set. Braking power is provided via Dia-Compe caliper brakes and and unbranded set of French levers with additional safety levers. Still sporting it's original tires the Michelin Confort 18" 450A tires are a nice addition to this bicycle but have started to dry out and crack. This particular bike is in ok shape with scratching and some minor surface corrosion to the paint job. This bike has not been tuned by one of our shops mechanics and will need a tune up before it is ready to ride.
